Dear Members, Families, and Supporters,

As we close the 2025 marching band season, I’m incredibly proud of all we’ve accomplished together. Our new competition schedule pushed us to grow, adapt, and raise our standards, and every performance reflected the passion and dedication of our students, staff, and supporters.

As we move into the Spring Semester, we’re excited for new opportunities to create, perform, and continue building on the momentum of this year.

Thank you to our students, parents, and supporters for being the heart of this program. Whether you performed, volunteered, or cheered us on, your support made this season truly memorable!

With the holiday season approaching, I wish you joy, rest, and time with loved ones. Here’s to a remarkable 2026 and the music we’ll continue to make together.

Monthly Highlights

Christmas Tree Lighting (optional)

Participating students should plan to meet with their instrument/music and stand at 5:15 pm at the SPLASH PAD in downtown Fountain Inn. We will perform from 5:45 until 6:00 pm. Students are dismissed after the performance. Dress in your BOF Hoodie or other Fountain Inn Gear.

Fountain Inn Christmas Parade

All Marching Band students perform in the Christmas Parade on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Meet in the band room after school to change.

• Winds/Percussion: Full marching uniform, shoes, black gloves, Red/White SANTA HATS. It will be cold! - You may wear wear pants and a longsleeved shirt underneath your uniform.

• Color Guard: Christmas sweater, black pants, black shoes Red/White SANTA HATS.

ITINERARY

• Walk to the Younts Center at 4:30 p.m.; parade starts at 5:30 p.m. We are 17/102 so we should be done pretty quickly.

• After finishing, meet at O’Reilly Auto Parts, then return to the band room.

• Parents should help transport students back, or they may walk with staff.

• Band room open until ~7:00 p.m. for equipment drop-off and changing.

Winter Concert

• Thursday, December 11th - 6:00 pm in the FIHS Auditorium.
• Please make sure you have the correct attire. Black socks, black belt, black dress shoes.

Marching Band 2026

Students interested in training for Leadership/or auditioning for Drum Major should email Mr. Tillman to join the Leadership Google Classroom. Joining does NOT guarantee a spot in leadership but is designed to give you training when we begin the selection process.

Remaining Football Games

Congratulations to the FIHS Varsity Football team for qualifying for playoffs. We have the home field advantage. The FIHS Marching Band will perform at the game on November 7th. Call time 6:00 pm.

Furman Band Clinic

Students were selected to participate in the Furman Band Clinic on November 7-8. Please check your email from Furman for specific details.

25-26 Winter Guard Auditions at Hillcrest HS

Students in good standing and all BOF dues paid may audition for WG at Hillcrest HS. Remember these are auditions. All students may not make it. Do your best!

Symphonic Band Concert Attire

Students are required to provide their own concert black attire. Why? This is because students grow out of their clothes pretty fast! The band has limited sizes for pants, shirts, and dresses available for students in need. Boosters will do a sizing November 5th during school. All attire must be purchased by Friday, November 7.

Fury's Talent Show Fundraiser

October 31st is the last day to sign up! Participants please be sure to pay the registration fee in the BoosterHub Store. More information coming for ticket prices!
